Senior Choir

The Senior Choir meets on Wednesday evenings from 7.00pm to 8.00pm. Apart from preparing for the services of the following Sunday, the choir have developed a varied repertoire of settings for the service of choral evensong on the second Sunday evening of each month. New members will be made most welcome.

Organist and Choirmaster - Norman Finlay took up the post in September 2007. Before his retirement, Norman was Head of Music at Belfast Royal Academy. He has a distinguished musical CV. He was educated at the Royal College of Music and was second prize winner at the global Fellow of the Royal College of Organist examinations. He has been organist at the parishes of Holy Trinity, Ballywalter; St Andrew’s Balligan; and St Peter’s, Belfast. Over the years, he has performed as an organ recitalist in many broadcasts on local radio and BBC Radio 3 as well as giving recitals in the UK, Republic of Ireland and in Germany.

Assistant Organist – Madeline McMenemy (photo Madeline) was for over forty years organist and choir mistress in All Saints’ parish church. In her time as organist, Madeine has worked with four vicars; Canon Jack Hawkins, Canon Ronnie Thornton, Canon Leslie Forsythe and Archdeacon Stephen McBride. Following her retirement in 2007, Madeline 'joined' the choir as a very valuable soprano and during holidays deputises for Norman.
