Walk of Witness

Since 2004, on Good Friday, we gather together for Antrim Churches’ Walk of Witness. We begin our walk from Antrim Methodist where the local clergy and lay people lead a short meditative act of worship on the theme of Christ’s passion and death. Each year has witnessed around three hundred people participating, their ages ranging from babies in prams to one or two who had celebrated ninetieth birthdays. The walk moves from Antrim Methodist to All Saints, St Comgall’s and finishes in High Street Presbyterian Church, where, after the final meditation, refreshments are served.

The Walk of Witness is a very positive sign to our community that people from different faith backgrounds can walk and worship together. We also have a community carol service in early December where we also can meet together to celebrate our Lord’s birth.
